Maddie looks like she’s in really good shape, considering her start! She looks like she’s at a good weight, she seeks out affection and she doesn’t appear at all nervous or timid. All great signs.

And–ack!!–Maddie has a monkeydog! Oh boy, Rocket’s gonna be all over that! (Do you know about those yet, Kelly?)

I have seen many comments about monkeybutts, and my guess is that she has no tail and there’s her butt….for a nice way of saying it 🙂

Thanks everyone. We in the cattle dog rescue community call that the Heeler slouch. A LOT of Heelers have that sitting style, and those that don’t at least sit to the side, but not like regular dogs….:)

I also can’t help but smile when I watch this video. She’s a happy girl!

aha, I see I have a LOT to learn…..lol
this particular Monkeybutt is Maddie’s cousin The infamous Ms Peanut!
She is also a rescue. That’s our favorite breed 🙂 haha

I will have other foster dogs that come through the house, but Maddie is here to stay.

I’ll be calling the Vet for her update and get an idea when I can pick her up in about 30 minutes.
I’m looking forward to getting her home.
